Mission to China, China to Mission,

China to the World, and The Back to Jerusalem Movement

China-North Korea Border -- The Yalu River

Dear Friends of RCMI, Pastors, Brothers and Sisters,

Greetings in the Lord to all of you! Pastor Daniel Wu and his wife Sharon Luk were the fruit of Pastor Dennis Balcombe's ministry shortly after he first arrived in Hong Kong and started a new work, before they were even married. They were baptized into Christ in Revival Christian Church in 1972 and 1971, respectively. The two of them were the first pioneering RCMI couriers who took Bibles to China as early as the 1970's. Before he was saved, Pastor Daniel Wu was a member of the Hong Kong Triads (Mafia) -- a devil-possessed idol worshiper and a gang member. In 1986 he received God's call, quit his job, and went into full-time ministry together with his wife. In 1998, he was appointed as a pastor of Revival Christian Church.

In 2008, in response to God's leading, Pastor Wu founded Nexus Mission under the spiritual umbrella of Revival Christian Church (Hong Kong) and Shiloh Christian Fellowship in the United States. God has been faithful for these 13 years as we have joined hands and hearts and taken the Gospel first to China, and then from China, sending mainland Chinese missionaries to the world.

Pastor Wu's Family and Nexus Mission Newsletter

Dear RCMI Family,

Greetings of peace to all of you!

The gospel has not only brought salvation to every living person; It has also brought these people together to become God's glorious church. In Matthew 16:18, Jesus said, "On this rock I will build My church... "; and then He gave the church authority which "the powers of hell will not be able to overcome." Nexus and RCMI are both gospel organizations spiritual covering by the church. We believe that in being sent out by the church and submitting to its spiritual covering, we can please God better, and "From Him the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love" (Eph 4:16). As a couple we are grateful to our great Revival Christian Church family, that all through these 50 years "from the first day until now," that you have walked with the two of us, hand in hand, with one heart and mind, striving toward the glorious goal of furthering the Gospel (Phil.1:5).

Greetings from Beirut, "The Paris of the Middle East", Lebanon!

Street Protest in Beirut

The Situation in Lebanon

Since October of 2019, the Lebanese pound has lost 90% of its value, crippling the people's ability to get even basic supplies such as food, lodging, kerosene for essential heating in the cold winters, medical and health supplies, etc. On top of that, the spread of COVID-19 has led to even worse economic problems and poverty.

By Faith

By faith, in this extremely difficult situation Nexus Mission is continuing to bring hope, giving all we have in order to meet with people, share the Good News, and help the needy of Lebanon and Syrian refugees in different ways -- distributing food packets, medical masks, kerosene, and other goods.

Wow, It's Really a School!

The (refugee) children and their parents are very excited because Nexus Center's school is in session again. New students have never been to school before -- never even used a pen to write words before -- and they feel as if they're dreaming! The school teaches different subjects (Arabic, English, math, geography, and science) and shares Bible stories and teachings, for the purpose that they may know Jesus and our Father God.

The children had no shoes; in winter they were wearing slippers. Nexus Center got them warm shoes for the winter.

Before class begins each morning, students dance, worship, and pray, starting their day with positive energy!

A meal is provided for the students twice a week - just like a family eating together!

A Luxurious Lavatory

The teacher noticed that during class time, every five minutes a student would have to go to the bathroom, and they would stay there a long time ... so strange! So she finally asked the class, "What's the matter? Are you all not feeling well? How come you are all going into the bathroom so much?" They answered, "The bathroom is so pretty, so clean! It has a mirror, toilet tissue, and water for washing hands. Actually, we would like to live in it! The bathroom out beside the tents where we live is so dirty and cramped that even at night or in winter, we just use the outside for our bathroom. Wow, yours is so luxurious!"

Antioch Church's First Baptism

"Repent, and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit." Acts 2:38

After Pastor Solomon Hu of Paris Revival Christian Church finish his Sunday sermon in Antioch Church, moved by the Holy Spirit, he asked, "Who is willing to be baptized?" In response, eight Muslim-background church members raised their hands, making the decision to be baptized and giving their whole lives to Christ. The pastor asked, " What are you still waiting for? Are you ready today? We can baptize you now in the name of the father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit." That same afternoon, Antioch Church baptized those who were ready.

The True Light Shines on a Lebanese Family

Three years ago, a mother came with her three grown children to Antioch Church. Her younger daughter had already been serving God with Nexus, now for a total of seven years. She had been sharing God's Word with her family and encouraging them to come to the church and the Center to help serve in different ways. She had also started a Bible study group in their home. But her family had not been willing to step out and make their faith publicly known. But now God's time had come. When Pastor Solomon asked, "Who is willing to be baptized?" this family were the first ones to raise their hands. They said the Holy Spirit came into them, and they decided to give their lives to Jesus and be baptized all together. They say that as members of one family, this is the best decision they've ever made in their entire lives. "Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you shall be saved, you and your household." (Acts 16:31)

Merry Christmas

We live in an imperfect world where worry and fear seem unavoidable. But Jesus came into the world, bringing us Good News, Joy, and the Light of Hope, so we no longer need to live in fear!

The angel said to them, "Don't be afraid! For behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be to all people: there is born to you this day, in the city of David, a Savior who is Christ the Lord." (Luke 2:10-11)
