RCMI Newsletter Sep 2019

Dear Friends,

Greetings from Hong Kong, China! We are taking this opportunity to thank you for your support over the years, both in prayer and finances. We appreciate your concerns and prayers regarding the recent protests and demonstrations of over a million people in Hong Kong. Truly, we are grateful that the Lord is answering your prayers and protecting his children and Revival Christian Church. Please continue to lift Hong Kong’s people up in prayer as they struggle to see hope and light at this difficult time. We all realize that, whatever the outcome of these protests, Hong Kong and China’s future will be affected. We know that Jesus is the only answer to the fear in Hong Kong, and are confident that the outcome will be good because our Father is in control. I am 74 years old, now, and God continues to give me good health, as I haven’t stopped in serving the Lord in Hong Kong and around the world. My son-in-law and daughter, Samuel and Sharon Lau, are now the senior pastors of Revival Christian Church. This frees me to minister to the Chinese body of Christ throughout the world. We would like to invite you to Revival Christian Church’s 50th Anniversary Celebration on October 12th, 2019! Please see the attached flyer for information. Cocktails will be at 5:00 pm (nonalcoholic), and the banquet will be at 7:00 pm at Fulum Palace (Shek Man), Shop 201, 2/F, Kings Wing Plaza 2, 1 On Kwan Street, Sha Tin, NT. We would love to hear you are coming to celebrate God’s goodness with us! Over the years, China has changed, but God’s work among the Chinese believers continues as strong as ever in what we call “Missions for China, China for Missions.” Thank you for your faithful support, however God’s plan for Revival Chinese Ministry International (RCMI) has not ended. We are entering a new era, as God is using Chinese believers to participate with you in His army for world evangelization.

Pastors Dennis and Kathy Balcombe with their sending Shiloh Church Senior Pastors Javier and Melinda Ramos and leadership of Revival Christian Church

I would like to introduce RCMI’s International Director, Pastor Daniel Wu, to you. He was born in Hong Kong and, as a teenager, was a member of the Triad Society gangs. However, in 1972 his sister (one of the early believers in RCC) brought him to Revival Christian Church where he was saved. Daniel has been a member of Revival Christian Church from its beginnings and has served the Lord with me by bringing Bibles to China. Later he served in Open Doors with Brother Andrew for over 24 years. He has, since, expanded his ministry by bridging the gap between China’s churches and the missionaries they send to other countries, where there is much persecution of Christians. Chinese missionaries understand the suffering because of their own experiences, and Daniel helps the sending churches train and support them, as well as giving pioneering Chinese missionaries encouragement and counsel in their field of service. Pastor Daniel Wu is well-qualified to lead RCMI into the next phase of growth, and we are privileged to have him onboard. Please receive him as you would receive me.

At this time, as you can see, RCMI and China needs your prayer and support even more urgently than in the days that I traveled the world to ask for Bibles for China! Because of your support, God saves many! But, Satan aims to discourage, distract, and even destroy as many Chinese as possible. Jesus gave me a vision when I was young, and 50 years later I remain faithful to the calling of God, unshakable in ministry to the Chinese and the body of Christ. I invite you to join with me and RCMI in bringing the gospel from the west to China, and from China to the world!

Your faithful servants in Christ,

Pastors Dennis and Kathy Balcombe
