2019 Hong Kong anti-extradition bill protests

Dear Friends of RCMI (Pastor Dennis and Kathy Balcombe in China, HK).

We are grateful for many oversees brothers and sisters show their concern of the recent situation, thank you for your prayers, we need your prayer to cover us and the ministry. Pastor Kathy Balcombe has a short message on behalf of Revival Christian Church and Revival Chinese Ministry International (RCMI) would reply many of your emails and phone call. Please continue to support us with prayer.

Words Pastor Kathy Balcombe,

We want to let you know that we are safe. We and the average citizens of Hong Kong are still living our day to day lives. We just need to keep more aware of our surroundings and if at all possible to stay away from the protest areas.

Sometimes we are not able to totally keep from being in the protest area. Recently this last weekend, protesters by the thousands crowded into the Hong Kong Airport. As a result, because of the protesters blocking the

check-in counters and the entrances to the immigration and boarding areas, many people were unable to check in and board their flights. Transportation to the airport was also disrupted. As a result for 3 days many hundreds of arrival and departure flights were cancelled.

During this time, Pastor Dennis and two short missions teams were not able to return to Hong Kong as scheduled. But we praise God that the next day Pastor Dennis was able to arrive back and within two days the other teams arrived back safely. We also had 2 missionary Pastors who were unable to board their flights to Malaysia and Paris. It took them two days to finally be able to leave Hong Kong.

Our hearts are broken over our city! We respond by much prayer wherever we go and by bringing encouragement to the many people who are fearful and have lost all hope. We are always continually in prayer. Many churches gather together to pray specifically for Hong Kong. There are powers of darkness that want to destroy our city. We pray and seek the Lord’s heart for Hong Kong. We seek Him to know His will for our city. We believe that peace will be restored. Our God reigns and He is victorious!

Warm Regards from RCMI, Pastor Dennis and Kathy Balcombe in China, Hong Kong
