Revival Conference 2011 《A New Wave of Revival》

Hallelujah! In July we’ve successfully conducted our yearly revival conference. The conference was attended by more than a thousand ministers and co-workers from Mainland China. Besides, there were also some 400 participants from Hong Kong and abroad. This year’s conference, unlike the previous one, was more like a retreat. We had more than a thousand participants staying and eating together. And together they walked into the conference hall, making the event a boisterous and wonderful occasion for interaction.

The conference speakers this year came from Hong Kong, the United States of America, Taiwan, Indonesia and Singapore. Among them were frequent visitors to churches in Hong Kong and Mainland China. There were also some who had not visited Hong Kong for more than a decade. It was joy unspeakable as these old friends drawn by their love for China were able to meet again at the conference. Dr. Marilyn Hickey led a team of 70 people on a mission trip to the Mainland before she ended up in Hong Kong as a conference speaker.

The speakers this year carried the anointing of the prophetic, teaching and healing gifts. Apart from conducting 10 teaching sessions, the speakers also laid hands on and ministered to the conference participants from China. Most of these participants have been faithfully serving the needs of their sheep without themselves being ministered to. The conference had therefore set aside ministry time for them to be filled with the Spirit; encouraged by prophetic words; healed of infirmities and imparted with anointing. The hunger of the Chinese co-workers was evident in their scramble for such blessings during the ministry time.

At the conference, the 70-plus mission team members of Dr. Hickey ministered prayer for the sick. Several hundred people came forward and each received meticulous prayer with laying on of hands. The ministry of the Hickey team, carried out with genuine love for the Chinese, was effective. The many testimonies of instant healing brought much encouragement to the team members.

A young lady had come up for prayer, and she was limping with a leg injury. The sister who prayed for her had great faith for her healing, because her husband had experienced a similar healing. God put these two together. Well, she prayed for this young lady, and even BEFORE she could say "do something you couldn't do before", this young lady was jumping up and down and ran around the room, having been instantly healed!Everyone in the room started praising God for this miracle!

Incidentally, at the conference we also celebrated the birthdays of two of the speakers – Dr. Marilyn Hickey (her 80th birthday on 1 July) and Rev. Frank Damazio (5 July) with the congregation singing “Happy Birthday to you” repeatedly. We thank God for the speakers who had come from afar. May God continue to bless them with health, gifts and wisdom to continue their global ministries.

Appreciation also goes to our co-workers who had persevered for months working on the conference. They had not labored in vain realizing how the participants have been blessed abundantly with spiritual food and a renewed life.

Announcement: Revival Conference 2012 is scheduled on May 17-20. We welcome the participation of co-workers from Mainland China and churches from Hong Kong. Come and experience a spiritual renewal!
