Miracles happen! The blind can see!

Recently we made a trip to China. We found that the miracles that happened 2000 years ago, are still happening today! The blind can see, the deaf can hear. The Lord who created the heavens and the earth is still the same yesterday, today and forever!

This time we had a meeting in Suzhou, sharing a vision of revival. The congregation was excited and yearned for revival! When they were rejoicing in worship, our co-workers started to lay hands on them. God’s presence overwhelmed the meeting place and people started to be filled with the Holy Spirit!

There was a little girl called Yang Qin. The retina of her left eye had detached, resulting in blindness in this eye. One of our co-workers prayed for her. At first, nothing happened. Our co-worker was not discouraged, so she prayed for Yang Qin again. After the prayer, we asked her if she could see light or not. But the girl turned to hug her mother and wept emotionally. The little girl could see! Praise the Lord! She was completely healed! The whole congregation was thrilled! Her mother was overwhelmed to see her daughter healed and immediately shared the news with other people.

A co-worker of that church later told us that, “I was moved to witness to the daughter who got healed. The joy I felt was even greater than my own wedding day! Later I went to visit her. Her doctor used to tell her that money can’t even be used to treat her left-eye, but the mother had great faith. She believed God would heal her daughter and God really did it that afternoon. This is what I really saw and I’m testifying it for the Lord. Thanks to our great and amazing God. There was someone whose ears were healed too!” God responded to their faith! Our Lord is truly a real and living God! Hallelujah! We are thankful for Him!

Other than witnessing miracles, we were also touched to see how some churches had grown so rapidly. There is a city church which has grown from a few dozen people to more than 200. Their leaders are young and educated, have passion and are committed to matters of God’s kingdom. We wish to see this amongst other churches in China too!

Although these churches don’t experience a lot of freedom in China, things are improving. The government is not as strict as before and it has begun to see the contributions to social welfare made by the church. Someone described the Chinese churches as standing in a grey-area: illegal, but not guilty. It looks like the door of His kingdom is slowly opening up in China. Pray it will be even more open and there will be more freedom! Praise the Lord!
